Computers & Wifi
The main library and each branch location have computers available for public internet access. Printing is available and costs .20 for b&w and .50 for color. WIFI access is available at all locations.
A library card in good standing or a valid photo ID is required for computer use. You are also required to sign our Internet Agreement Form. You are allowed to use the computer for a 90 minute session with the option of extending your time if no one is waiting.
Under 18 Computer Use
Computer users under the age of 18 must have signed parental permission to use the internet access computers.
AWE Literacy Computer Stations
The Belmont County District Library system has AWE Literacy computers at each location.
The Early Literacy Station is a dynamic all-in-one digital learning solution for children ages 2-8. It requires no Internet connection, so it is safe and secure. The latest version features more than 60 educational software titles spanning seven curricular areas. The educational titles are pre-loaded on the computer and displayed using engaging graphics and intuitive menus.
Kids are instantly engaged by an imaginative interface that includes touchscreen gesturing and page -turning functionality.
Some children don’t have access to educational computer programs in their homes. The Early Literacy Station bridges this education gap in our community. Children gain education skills at our library that will put them on the path to a lifetime of learning .Supports school readiness and cultivates a love of learning.
