Kids & Family
The Belmont County District Library provides a rich collection of library materials for children and young people, including books for informational and recreational reading, reference material designed for school-age study, magazines for various age groups, audio books and electronic resources. Children of all ages are encouraged to register for their own library card at the Belmont County District Library. Library cards are free; children (up through age 17) are required to have a parent's signature when requesting a library card. The parent or legal guardian must be present and show a photo ID when applying for a child's library card.
We offer a variety of services to children as well as their parents and caregivers. The library offers storytimes and activities to help nurture a love of reading and learning. Our children’s area provides a place where parents and children can read, play and learn together.
The library subscribes to online resources specfically for children and parents.
