Fall Storytime and Babytime on Tap

The Belmont County District Library is pleased to announce their Fall Children’s Programming lineup for 2016. All six locations, including Martins Ferry, Powhatan, Flushing, Bethesda, Bridgeport, and Shadyside, will be offering Storytime for toddlers and preschool aged children. Babytime for ages 6-24 months will be offered at the Martins Ferry, Bethesda, and Flushing locations as well. These sessions are part of the Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library initiative, which promotes the improvement of important literacy skills through activities like talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. Each Storytime session will last between 30 minutes and 1 hour and will feature a story, singing, arts and crafts, and some simple activities designed to give children the opportunities they need to be ready to read.

The Martins Ferry Public Library will be holding Storytime on Wednesdays at 11:00am and Fridays 10:00am beginning September 14th. The Babytime sessions will be on Thursdays at 10:00am and 11:00am. The Bethesda Public Library will hold their Babytime on Mondays at 11:15 am and Storytime on Fridays at 11:00 am starting the week of September 12, 2016.
