Summer Library Program Begins the week of June 5th!

It’s that time of year again! The temperatures are starting to warm up, the school year is ending, and the Belmont County District Library is set to begin their 2017 Summer Library Program. This year’s theme is “Build a Better World!” and will take place during the months of June and July at all 6 of the Belmont County District Library locations.  Keeping with this theme, each week will allow the children the opportunity to learn how they can become more globally conscience and make the world a better place.  Each session will be filled with activities geared towards bringing books to life in fun and exciting ways, fostering a love of reading in the hearts of our youngest patrons.

Summer programs include a visit from Oglebay Good Zoo,  Photographer Daniel Caron, Artist Jeff Nicholas, JB Green Team, and local dance instructor Anna Harsh just to name a few.  The library will be capping off the summer with the end of the program celebration including an inflatable obstacle course by JK Tanks Rentals for our families to enjoy.

Summer Library Program kicks off on Tuesday June 6th at the Martins Ferry Public Library at 11:00am and at the Bridgeport Public Library at 1:00pm. On Wednesday, June 7, Powhatan Public Library will have programming at 10:00 am, followed by the Shadyside Public Library at 1:30pm. The first week of Summer Library Program will wrap up on Friday, June 9th at Bethesda Public Library at 11:30am and Victoria Read Public Library in Flushing at 2:00pm.
