WINTER STORYTIME & BABYTIME SET TO START AT BCDL

As the chill of winter sets in, the Belmont County District Library’s Children’s department is warming up for the start of the Winter Storytime and Babytime Sessions. Parents and caretakers of children 2-5 years old are invited to attend our weekly Storytime, while ages 6-24 months are welcome to join us for Babytime sessions. These sessions are part of the Every Child Ready to Read @ your library initiative, which promotes the improvement of important literacy skills through activities like talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. Each session will last between 30 minutes and 1 hour and will feature a story, singing, arts and crafts, and some simple activities designed to give children the opportunities they need to be ready to read.

The Martins Ferry Public Library will be holding Storytime on Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00am starting January 6, 2015. The Babytime sessions will be on Thursdays at 10:00am and 11:00am beginning January 21st. The Bethesda Public Library will hold their Baby Bookworms on Mondays at 11:15 am and Storytime on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm and Fridays at 11:00 am starting the week of January 11, 2016. The Bridgeport Public Library will hold their Storytime on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm beginning January 19, 2016. Victoria Read Library in Flushing will be offering Storytime on Tuesdays at 11:00am starting January 8, 2016 and Baby Bookworms on Mondays at 11:15 am beginning January 11, 2016.  Storytime at the Powhatan Point Library will be at 11am on Fridays starting January 8, 2016.
